Sea, Sun, and Snorkel!
I don’t consider myself extra comfortable in the water. I am still a kid inside thinking I’ll be attacked by sharks in the middle of the ocean, but going snorkeling is loads of fun and if you ask me the snorkeling trip to the Pitons is one of the “must do” activities while visiting St. Lucia.

At BodyHoliday there is a range of activities that you can choose from. Whether you are a water or land person, there is something for you that will make your vacation, even more fun and unique! I booked this tour through BodyHoliday and the great thing is that you can book it even if you are not staying at the hotel and it is just 77USD per person. It includes transportation from the hotel to where the boat is located, snacks and drinks -which are very helpful because swimming can be very tiring and a great workout. It really is great value for the price!
The snorkeling trip to the Pitons is, for me, one of the most exciting and suitable-for-everyone activities offered at this resort. It offers the perfect getaway to see the natural sights that Saint Lucia has on offer, such as the magnificent Pitons that rise high into the sky and the beautiful blue sea water filled with vibrant corals, colorful fish and much more.
My Piton adventure started at 8:30 am at the Scuba Dive Centre where the fun, professional, and the dedicated team was waiting to make sure I had a perfect fitting snorkel, mask, and fins as well as all necessary equipment to start the journey. After a short drive from the resort to Landings Marina, we arrived at “Tiny”, a power-driven vessel of 46 feet, and after a small briefing on board, we set to sea to enjoy this special experience!
There are generally two stops at two unique reefs and depending on how busy they are, the stops can change. On the trip I went, we visited sugar beach which is absolutely gorgeous snorkeling grounds nestled between the Pitons. It can’t get better than that! On top of that, on the way to snorkel, I felt in paradise looking at the vibrant colours of the Caribbean coastline and enjoying an “island tour” from the comfort of the boat. I was also lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins and whales!
There really is no better way to see the island than from a comfortable seat onboard Tiny, and enjoying the marine life on this beautiful island.
Enjoy a great workout and set off into the blue!
