As promised, here is the review of all 5 restaurants at the wellness resort in St. Lucia, The Body Holiday!
You will be able to indulge in all of the St. Lucian flavors while staying fit and trying the top cuisine they have to offer!
♥ Kiiara – Gold (Hippie Sabotage Remix)
This is one of the restaurants where you can have breakfast and lunch at the buffet. I can be overly dramatic at times, but I am not exaggerating by saying this is one of the most beautiful buffets I’ve ever seen. Everything is gourmet, fresh, and healthy. At breakfast, you have the best options you can ask for pre-workout, with cute little notes next to the food reminding you of the food’s nutritional properties. At lunchtime, you can prepare yourself a gangster salad and even the dressings are delicious and healthy. My favourite was the chili-cucumber one! I NEED it in my life NOW.
♥ The Deli
Can you imagine being somewhere for a week where you can pop in at any time to grab a healthy snack post-workout and a refreshing smoothie?
Well, this place exists at The Body Holiday resort. They have freshly made granola bars, chocolate coconut energy balls, oatmeal cookies and all kind of awesomeness to grab pre or post workout. Their selection of smoothies and healthy juices is superb. They have a description to help you choose your favourite one depending on your goals for the day. My very favourite smoothie is the pre-workout energy booster – A cappuccino smoothie that comes with espresso, honey, and your selection of soya, almond or skimmed milk! YUM! And for juices my favourite one is the “Flat Belly” with shadow beni, turmeric, celery, cucumber and pineapple – very refreshing. This is making me hungry!
♥ Cariblue Windows
The Cariblue buffet turns into a 5-star restaurant at night, super intimate, romantic and beautiful. You have to make a reservation to attend and trust me, you will enjoy the inclusive tasting menu. The restaurant has a vibrant and chic atmosphere, and you can try the chef’s creations, tasting menus and wine pairings. The menu I had while I was there was exceptional. It started with a Jamaican smoked fish, followed with a curried goat, then sweet chilli shrimp and shrimp bisque and finished with an awesome almond cake dessert with coconut ice cream! An experience not to be missed with a fantastic selection of fine wines.
This restaurant is delicious and worth a visit while you are staying at the resort. This restaurant has maintained its AAA Diamond award since 2007 and was named by Condé Nast Traveller Magazine as one of the “60 hottest tables” in the world. It offers a fusion between Eastern and Caribbean cuisine. Two of the appetizers that we tried that day were the watermelon, cantaloupe feta cheese salad (HEALTHY PICK) and the Alaskan king crab cakes that are served with Asian slaw, spiced apple puree, wasabi mayo and mango sauce. Our selection for main meals was a pad-Thai and the exquisite mahi-mahi marinated in sake, with steamed mussels in garlic and coconut broth! Dessert was a surprise as we went on our last day at the resort!
I enjoyed this buffet-style restaurant where you can pick from fresh seafood, fresh salads and all kinds of meats fresh off the barbecue. Plus it has a beautiful setting to enjoy an afternoon tea menu from 4pm to 6pm while waiting for the spectacular St. Lucian sunsets!
Time to catch a plane and enjoy an amazing journey to this wonderful and well-put together luxury hotel!
It will leave you rejuvenated and full of life!
